Congratulations, because the next period will be full of challenges and very fun.

The first thing you should do is determine the age. Kittens open their eyes between 7 and 14 days old, start walking and straightening their ears at 3-4 weeks, and are more active, running around at 4-8 weeks. If their eyes are still closed, it means they are very young and you will have a lot of work ahead of you, but it is very encouraging to watch them grow and progress. It is recommended to take them to the vet first to determine the kitten's age and health status. Any health problems such as skin sores, crusty eyes, or dehydration require a veterinarian's attention and treatment.

If you find yourself in the role of a surrogate mother, you must provide a warm and safe home for these little creatures. It's best to place them in a box or basket with bottles or hot water bottles filled with hot water, wrapped in a towel or thick sock so that the kittens do not overheat or get burned. Otherwise, they can die from hypothermia. The temperature in the box should be 30-32 degrees Celsius, and when their eyes open, it should be lowered to 26 degrees. This gives the impression that their mother is still warming them. When they are very small, they need to be fed every 2-3 hours, and after their eyes open, every 4 hours. It's best to feed them with a syringe, and later with a nipple. In the first week, give 2-4 ml, in the second week 5-10 ml, in the third week 10-15 ml, and in the fourth week 15-20 ml of milk. A new syringe should be used before each feeding.

https://www.happydog-club.com/trixie-mleko-u-prahu-za-macice

A milk replacer is the best choice, but if you are unable to buy it, you can make a mixture, for example, from 50 ml of milk, 50 ml of water, 1 fresh egg yolk, and 1 tablespoon of sour cream with 35% milk fat. However, you should still try to give them kitten milk powder. You should make a fresh mixture every day. Do not give them plain cow's milk, as it can cause diarrhea. The milk should not be too hot; the best way to check the temperature is to put a few drops on the inside of your wrist. During feeding, the kitten should be held upright, not horizontal, to prevent aspirating food into its lungs. In addition to milk, you can also give them cat multivitamins and probiotics. After each feeding, you must massage their stomach and anus with a damp cotton ball to stimulate bowel movements and urination. The massage should continue until urine appears on the cotton ball. The area around the navel should be disinfected daily to prevent infection. Their eyes should also be cleaned with cotton and warm water until they open, just as their mother would. Orphaned newborn kittens are very vulnerable, so you should find a nursing cat, as substances in the mother's milk provide immunity in the first days of life. The kitten will meow a lot at first, which is normal because it's looking for its mother, so you can hold it in your hand until it falls asleep. Kittens need peace and quiet, so you should provide that for them. You should constantly monitor the kitten's appetite, activity, and growth. If they refuse or stop eating, it is necessary to contact a veterinarian. Treatment for intestinal and external parasites should always be done in consultation with a veterinarian, as young kittens do not tolerate many medications.

In their fourth week of life, they can start being introduced to wet kitten food diluted with water (soup-like), which should be warmed before feeding. By 6 weeks old, they start eating and drinking on their own and exploring their surroundings. The most important thing is to persevere during the period when the kittens are very young, and when you see the results of your effort and hard work, a lively and healthy being, you will surely be proud of yourself.

Našli ste tek rođeno mače? Čestitamo, jer će vam naredni period biti pun izazova i veoma zabavan.
